CCAGW PAC Endorses Reps. Petri, Ryan, and Sensenbrenner for Congress
Washington, D.C. – The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste Political Action Committee (CCAGW PAC) today announced its endorsement of Reps. Thomas Petri, Paul Ryan, and F. James Sensenbrenner, who are seeking re-election to Congress in Wisconsin.
“In this time of massive new government spending and bailouts, huge budget deficits, public debt, and inefficient bureaucracies, taxpayers need friends in Washington who will defend their interests, not the special interests,” said Thomas Schatz, Chairman of CCAGW PAC. “That is why CCAGW PAC supports these candidates, who are bona fide fiscal conservatives committed to reducing the size of government by working to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse.”
All three candidates have been principled advocates for lower taxes and smaller government. Rep. Petri received a score of 92 percent in the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste’s (CCAGW) 2009 Congressional Ratings, earning the rank of Taxpayer Hero. Rep. Ryan received a score of 98 percent, earning the rank of Taxpayer Hero. Rep. Sensenbrenner received a score of 99 percent, earning the rank of Taxpayer Hero. “The CCAGW Congressional Ratings verify that these candidates will seek ways to control spending, fight for lower taxes, and eradicate wasteful programs,” declared Schatz.
“In the current political and fiscal climate, Congress has engaged in a historically unprecedented level of spending, and is supporting actions that will mortgage our children’s futures. On November 2, 2010 voters in Wisconsin should support these candidates so that they can fight for fiscally conservative principles that are vital to the taxpayers in the 112th Congress,” concluded Schatz.
